Founded on relationships...
Seeking to establish his business, John Campbell called upon relationships fostered prior to graduating from Washington & Jefferson College. A mentor working at Washington Steel (producing mill), assisted the upstart entrepreneur and a strong foundation was created. Mr. Campbell continued to develop lasting relationships as his business grew.In 1969, Chartiers Supply (Washington, Pa) merged with Mr. Campbell’s other company, Stainless Steel Service & Supply (Jacksonville & Tampa, Fl). The three service centers formed Camalloy Inc. Bill Campbell joined the family owned and operated business in 1973 to assist his father in managing the company.
Camalloy expanded with several remote locations until the early 1990’s; when it refocused its market strategy to the single facility located in Washington, Pa. Along with this change came new members to the management team. Connie Howard and Frank Bennett joined in 1993 to help implement the new strategy and later became minority share holders. Republic Financial, a private equity company purchased all shares of Camalloy in 2008 while the management team continues to be lead by Bill Campbell.Today, Camalloy remains a value-added metal service center. We offer stainless steel, aluminum and industrial products. A strong reputation in the market place has been developed through dedication to quality control, as well as timely and accurate delivery. We continue to expand our business relationships and strong supply chain partnerships.
